We love Spain! Having traveled there four times in the past 18 months and planned numerous trips for clients, we know Spain very well and can highly recommend it as a wonderful vacation destination! The food is outstanding and Spain offers a superb blend of scenery and interesting medieval towns. The art in and around Madrid is exceptional and Barcelona too! The nearby Costa Brava offer so much! FAVORITE ITINERARY TO SPAIN
Day 1
USA Departure
Dinner and a movie aloft as you wing your way from your hometown on the overnight flight to España!
Day 2
Barcelona
Arrive in Barcelona and transfer to your accommodations - we will consult with you at length about your desires and budget with the aim of selecting the perfect hotels and activities in each place and indeed for your entire stay! Tapas for dinner tonight in the pedestrian zone around the main cathedral square?
Day 3
Barcelona
Daily breakfasts in each of your hotels. A guided city visit is planned today with a chance to see works of some of the great Catalan artists -Miro, Gaudí and Picasso come to mind! Free time to explore the delights of this Catalonian city -featuring the perfect blend of tradition, playfulness, and style- this afternoon and evening.
Day 4
Barcelona - Granada
Its just a short flight to Granada where you will get settled in your hotel before embarking on a guided visit to the magnificent Alhambra, the last stronghold of the Nasrid kings in Spain featuring Renaissance-era Moorish architecture! For dinner sample some of the local Moroccan-influenced cuisine.






Day 5
Granada - Ronda
Take possession of your rental car today for the drive to Cordoba were you will visit the Mezquita, a mosque-turned cathedral and masterpiece of geometrical precision. South to Ronda for a stay in one of the most charming towns you will ever see!
Day 6
Ronda - Sevilla
Continue north and west today to reach Sevilla, blessed by geography and history to be one of the main destinations of silver and gold from the Spanish colonies. As a result, the city’s architecture literally glitters with impressive decorative elements! Return your rental car this afternoon in Sevilla.
Day 7
Seville
An entire day for a guided visit and independent exploration of this wonderful Andalusian town! Sights of note include the impressive Catedral de Santa Maria de la Sede; the Alcazar, palace of the Spanish royalty; and the Parque Maria Luisa, built for the 1929 World’s Fair and landscaped with lush gardens, monuments and museums
Day 8
Seville - Madrid
Transfer to the rail station and travel by high-speed AVE train to Madrid. On arrival you will be met by your guide with car & driver for detailed sightseeing of the Spanish capital. The Egyptian temple and downtown Plaza Mayor will begin your visit, continuing to the Royal Palace and then the great art collection of the Prado!
Day 12
Madrid - USA return
Transfer to the airport now for your home-bound flights (same-day arrival in the USA)

Spain has a lot more to offer; places like Hondarribia, Bilbao and the Guggenheim Collection, Santiago de Compostela, Burgos, Salamanca, the Costa Brava, the island of Ibiza -the list goes on!! Days 9-10
Madrid - Toledo and Avila and El Escorial day-trips
Using Madrid as a base, day trips over the next two days will include: Toledo, known for its medieval center and El Greco and other masters, Avila with its charming town center, plus the magnificent palace / monastery of Phillip II known as El Escorial. El Escorial features beautiful interiors and an exceptional art collection, plus it is the burial place of Spanish royalty!
Day 11
Madrid
A free day today to explore Madrid’s fascinating neighborhoods and aveneidas on your own! Or why not a tour of Madrid’s artistic sites. The art in Madrid has no equal, since the Prado speaks for itself, the Reina Sofia modern art gallery is par-excellence and a real treat is the Thyssen Bornemisza which gives a wonderful chronology of 750 years of art history, beginning with the late middle-ages and taking you right through the 20th century!
