Day 1Depart USA
Early check-in please for your flight to Munich!

Day 2Munich – Berlin
This morning arrive in Munich with some time before your connector flight to Berlin. Transfer on arrival to your hotel in Berlin. Use this afternoon to catch up on your rest and maybe do some exploring.

Day 3Berlin
Daily breakfasts in each of your hotels. Explore downtown Berlin and visit the famous Brandenburg Gate. Another popular destination in Berlin is the Museum of Antiquities. Or maybe today is the day to visit the remains of the historic Berlin wall?!? Welcome to Germany dinner tonight at a recommended restaurant?

Day 4Berlin
Free day in Berlin which could include the Charlottenburg Castle. Today could also be the day to take a day trip to the Prussian kings' former residence, also known as Potsdam, on the S-bahn.

Day 5Berlin – Dresden
Private transfer to the Hauptbanhof for the quick train ride to Dresden. On arriving in Dresden, take a taxi to your hotel. Free day in Dresden for a visit to the wonderful cathedral and castle!

Day 6Dresden – Munich – Hohenschwangau
Reach the airport in time for your flight to Munich. Once you reach Munich you will rent a car and begin the drive south and east to the Bavarian Alps! Stay at a hotel in Hohenschwangau tonight.

Day 7Hohenschwangau – Fuessen – Schoenau am Koenigsee
Check with your hotelier this morning to obtain the time for the English language tour of Neuschwanstein, the source of inspiration for the Disney castle!! Continuing in the late morning, please don’t miss the Wieskirche (jewel of German baroque architecture). Continuing through the lovely Alpenstrasse, traversing mountains and lakes to your hotel in Schoenau am Koenigsee.

Day 8Schoenau am Koenigsee – Salzburg – Schoenau am Koenigsee
Crossing from the German state of Bavaria into Austria for a day trip, your guide will accompany you for a look at the Sound of Music country, plus maybe the water gardens of Helbrunn and of course the Schloss and Mozart’s birthplace in Salzburg!

Day 9Schoenau am Koenigsee – Berchtesgaden – Munich
Your guided visit today to the wonderful town of Berchtesgaden will include the Eagle’s Nest and fascinating Salt Mines, plus maybe you can take the boat to St. Bartholomew’s Shrine for lunch and then return to your hotel via the Schnapps Brewery??!! Take it easy at your hotel in Schoenau am Koenigsee since afterwards you’ll be in your rental car again, headed back to Munich!! Check in at Munich hotel tonight.

Day 10Munich
Relaxing day today. Maybe take a day trip in the morning on the S-bahn to say hello to Dachau in the city’s western suburbs, returning to the center of Munich in the afternoon.

Day 11Munich
A full day to explore downtown Munich’s pedestrian-friendly areas, plus the Technological Museum and Aldstadt! Don’t forget to enjoy a brew before you leave for the culmination of Oktoberfest!! Farewell to Germany dinner tonight at maybe Schuhbeck’s or Les Cuisiniers? 

Day 12Depart Munich – USA
Private transfer to the airport in time for your flight home! End of trip!!
